DataGrail Named to Fast Company’s World’s Most Innovative Companies List

For over a decade, Fast Company’s World’s Most Innovative Companies list has been the definitive source recognizing the organizations that are transforming industries and shaping society. Today, we’re celebrating that DataGrail was named a 2024 Most Innovative Company by Fast Company. We are ranked as the fourth most innovative company in the security category.

I’m incredibly proud of this recognition and the entire DataGrail team who have worked tirelessly the past few years to protect the human right to privacy. Thank you to our employees, customers, and investors for all your hard work, loyalty, and unwavering support.

Brands aren’t designed for the complex data privacy challenges of this era and risk is at an all-time high. Since OpenAI released ChatGPT to the public in November, 2022, followed by Google’s Bard (now Gemini), generative AI has transformed how people create, access, understand, and disseminate data. As a data privacy company, we recognize the tremendous power of generative AI to do good, but the future requires companies to set guardrails and policies to ensure AI responsible use.

Over the past year, we have worked continuously to help companies be good stewards of personal data while still enabling them to make the most of technologies like generative AI. The best brands want help building and scaling a privacy program that minimizes risk, exceeds buyer expectations, and saves increasingly scarce resources in the process.

To this end, we’ve partnered with customers to help them devise their own Generative AI Responsible Use Policies. We also created a playbook that guides any company in developing policies for the safe usage of generative AI. This framework is flexible enough to adapt to evolving business and consumer needs. These accomplishments benefit our industry, consumers, and society at large. But this was only part of why DataGrail was honored as one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies.

Eight out of ten Americans expect to have control over how their data is used by a business, and security leaders are responding. Recent research suggests eighty percent of security leaders said their top priorities were data security related initiatives – such as implementing stronger data governance and security controls. In today’s digital era, data privacy is no longer a nice-to-have but a must-have for brands that want to build trust with consumers and employees. Brands that fail to meet expectations could suffer severe consequences, including damage to the brand’s reputation, losing loyal customers, legal action, and financial losses. Unlike other solutions that sacrifice depth for breadth, our platform goes deep on data privacy, and the world’s most trusted brands rely on us to guide them on their data privacy journey.
