Reflections on A Year of Growth and Innovation

2024 was nothing short of extraordinary.

We realized double-digit growth of our customer base, bringing on incredible brands like Harry’s, Quince and MLS to name just a few. Our sales team, under the leadership of Jordan Tucker who was promoted to VP of Sales last year, set records in Q3 and Q4. We launched enhancements to the Live Data Map, with new risk management capabilities.

On top of that, DataGrail Consent exceeded expectations, making Consent our fastest growing product area. In a market flooded with freemium cookie tools and cumbersome legacy solutions, DataGrail Consent is the comprehensive, scalable, and automated CMP our customers need. This isn’t just a win for us; it’s proof that businesses are embracing a future where privacy is foundational to building trust.

Our annual Data Privacy Trends Report revealed that data privacy concerns are growing in both awareness and in activity, as data subject requests surged 246% in just two years – trends we will be closely monitoring and will include in our 2025 report later this year.

2024 was also the launch of the Data Privacy Hero Awards, where we celebrated leaders who are driving change, building trust, and redefining what’s possible in privacy. Our 2024 Data Privacy Heroes help us set a new standard for data privacy.

Industry Recognition

On top of having achieved internal goals, equally gratifying is that our hard work is not going unnoticed, with DataGrail having received industry peer recognition. Fast Company named DataGrail to its prestigious list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies of 2024. We achieved this recognition due in part to our work in educating companies about the data privacy risks posed by generative AI and how to overcome them while still getting the benefits of transformational technology. We secured the #4 spot on the list in the Security category for our leadership in data privacy.

We also earned a spot on Built In’s 2025 Best Places to Work, achieving status as a Top Remote Startup and Top SF Startup. These accolades reflect the passion, creativity, and drive of every single person on our team.

Product Innovation in 2025

We’re thrilled with the progress we made in 2024 towards our product vision of being a complete and lovable privacy platform—and the external validation from firms like IDC.

Looking ahead at 2025, we’re setting the stage for a variety of initiatives:

  • We’re continuing to build the industry-leading consent platform for consumer brands with end-to-end cookie management, scalable multi-brand support, and intuitive, no-code editing that both marketers and privacy teams will love.
  • On the heels of the launch of our enhanced Live Data Map, our team is already hard at work creating even more powerful detection and mitigation capabilities. Stay tuned for more details to come.
  • For the first time, we’ll consolidate privacy selections and user preferences into a single source of truth. This innovation will enable brands to create a high level of trust with their consumers knowing their requests and preferences are honored.
  • As more states roll out privacy legislation this year, we’ll be helping our customers and community ensure they are staying compliant with these new regulations.
