Data Privacy Platform

What’s New from DataGrail: January 2026

Kendall Lovett - February 11, 2026

January was all about making privacy work faster, more scalable, and easier to manage, especially as global consent standards and data volumes continue to grow. From expanded Consent support across major platforms to smarter reporting and inventory improvements and loads of enhancements across every product.

Here’s what’s new.

No-Code Consent Integration with Shopify, WordPress, and Webflow

New DataGrail Consent plugins let you integrate with Shopify, WordPress, and Webflow with the click of a button. When you enable a plugin, DataGrail Consent will map category preferences to the associated solution and send those preferences to the corresponding endpoints.

It’s now even easier to automatically map consent settings, sync preferences, and deliver a consistent, compliant consent experience across your embedded apps and services. Read the docs: Shopify, WordPress, Webflow.

Native Mobile SDKs for iOS and Android (Beta)

We launched native iOS and Android SDKs for DataGrail Consent, giving teams a first-class way to manage consent inside mobile apps. With the new SDKs, you can:

  • Display native consent banners that match your app UI
  • Persist and sync user consent choices automatically
  • Check consent status before initializing tracking SDKs
  • Support offline use with automatic retry on reconnect

Read the docs: iOS guide, Android guide.

Cookie Wildcard Matching

Cookie rules now support additional variables for match criteria, making it easier to categorize groups of similar cookies at scale without managing each one individually. For example, you can use {h} to symbolize any numerical string as part of a rule. Learn more about the new wildcard patterns. Read the docs.

Default Rules for Unmanaged Cookies

You can now define how unmanaged cookies are handled by default, treating them as categorized or blocking them entirely. This adds an extra layer of protection when new or unexpected cookies appear, but you haven’t had a chance to review and create a rule for. Read the docs.

Archive Unmanaged Cookies

Archive or remove non-relevant cookies, such as those created via Google Translate proxies, to eliminate unwanted noise and tracking.

Assessment Risks Now Visible at a Glance

Risks flagged during assessments are now surfaced via a new “Risks” tab on the Assessment Overview page. This makes it easy to review issues and understand the exact context in which each risk was identified.

Improved Consent Banner Tracking Details

Consent banner Tracking Details can now be grouped by vendor or name, making long lists easier to scan and manage.

Embed Tracker and Cookie Disclosures in Privacy Policies

Customers can now retrieve a JSON feed of tracker definitions from DataGrail and embed it directly into their privacy or cookie policies—keeping disclosures accurate without manual updates. Read the guide.

Smarter System Inventory Organization

System Inventory items are now grouped by system, reducing noise and making large inventories easier to navigate. Inline expansion and aggregated stats provide quick insight without extra clicks.

Expanded Language Support for Consent and Request Manager

We added eight new language translations across DataGrail Consent and Request Manager to support more global use cases:

  • Indonesian
  • Hindi
  • Arabic
  • Korean
  • Malay
  • Thai
  • Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)

This update helps teams deliver clearer, more localized privacy experiences worldwide.

Global Privacy Platform (GPP) Updates

The Global Privacy Platform (GPP) is an updated open standard provided by the IAB for publishers to inform advertisers of a user’s consent. Users can now enable GPP US National sections support, and DataGrail will set the GPP section with a corresponding consent value.

Improved Audit Logging

Audit logs for API requests now explicitly record who accessed data, providing stronger transparency and security visibility for programmatic workflows.

Faster, More Reliable Consent Exports

We’ve overhauled large Consent Log exports by streaming reports directly to secure cloud storage. This means faster downloads and no more timeout issues—even for massive datasets.

New & Updated Integrations

Mailchimp [Updated]

The Mailchimp integration now supports batch deletion, speeding up request fulfillment.

Oracle Opera Cloud [Updated]

Oracle Opera Cloud connections can now be configured to anonymize personal data when processing deletion requests.

As always, these updates are designed to help teams scale privacy while moving faster. Stay tuned for more improvements coming soon.
