Around the world, consumer demand for control over personal data is seeing momentum. Globally, 31.5% of DSRs came from countries without privacy laws. 2024 also saw a surge in data deletion requests, comprising over 63% of all data privacy requests, with the other 37% being data access requests. Countries such as Canada, Australia, Japan and India are experiencing a similar uptick in DSR activity with an 11.5% increase, signaling a global shift in consumer behavior and regulatory momentum.
