What’s New from DataGrail this Quarter

Sammi Reinstein, February 6, 2024

Welcome to 2024! 🥳 We’re excited to kick off the new year with a deep dive into our latest product innovations. From Request Manager updates to new Live Data Map functionality, our team is excited to show you what’s new with our data privacy platform.

🧐 Uncover what systems you have and what personal data they contain

Live Data Map, which provides a blueprint of where data lives in your organization, can now help you uncover what systems you have and what personal data they contain, something we call responsible data discovery (RDD). RDD will help you save time and mitigate risk by:

  • Easily detecting and categorizing data: RDD automatically identifies commonalities of data within your systems and applies smart categories, so you have an up-to-date view of your business risk.
  • Automating data mapping documentation: Streamline the system reporting and data mapping process, so you can quickly review and sign off on information related to these systems.
  • Determining the right action to take: Proactively address net-new privacy risk by building a new privacy assessment, modifying your privacy policy, or updating your data subject request (DSR) process.

We are continuing to invest in responsible data discovery (RDD) to ensure an increasing number of safe and secure third-party apps, like Salesforce, Shopify, and Zendesk, to help customers proactively manage privacy risk with less effort.

🔍  Find applications faster with search in Live Data Map

You asked, we listened. This highly requested feature allows you to easily search for systems configured, saving you time from manually searching on your own.

🎟️ Get a better understanding of outstanding data subject requests

Customers will now be able to close tickets that are currently in the following active states:

  • Pending Action
  • Extracting Identifiers
  • Extracting Personal Data

Closing a request in the active state allows you to stop processing a request and close it without an email notification to the data subject. This allows you to close out requests you do not need to fulfill and get a view of outstanding data subject requests.
