A month packed with the top customer-requested enhancements and game-changing risk management capabilities.
November was all about gratitude and the best way we know how to say “thank you” to our customers is to ship a *ahem* cornucopia of new features and improvements.
From deeper automation and smoother workflows to improved analytics and risk management, November’s release has something for everyone. Let’s get into it 👇
New Features
Flag and Track Risks from Assessments Directly in Risk Register
Privacy teams told us they needed a more seamless way to capture and manage risks uncovered while conducting privacy assessments. We heard you and introduced assessment risk logging in Risk Register.
What’s new:
- Flag risks directly in any assessment, from a specific question or a general section
- Automatic sync to Risk Register with a link back to the source assessment
- In-context risk management: update risks without leaving your workflow
- New assessment filters so you can prioritize based on risk count
Why it matters:
This eliminates manual copy/pasting and gives privacy, compliance, and security teams one unified place to review, mitigate, and report on risk with full context intact.

Local & Session Storage Blocking in DataGrail Consent
Cookies aren’t the only player in the tracking game. Modern browsers are increasingly leaning on local and session storage for persistent identifiers, and now DataGrail Consent can block those too.
We introduced a new optional feature that enforces the same rule logic you use for cookies, especially beneficial for teams that need to enforce truly “full blocking” for third-party data capture.
Why it matters:
For brands that want airtight consent compliance and a consistent, privacy-first user experience, this upgrade closes a critical gap most other CMPs don’t address.

New Privacy Policy Library
In DataGrail, policies power everything from how requests flow, to how consent is honored, and how regulations map to real-world behavior. The new Privacy Policy Library is now your centralized home for default and custom request and consent policies built for every U.S. state privacy law and global regulation.
What’s new:
- Customize which rights are available by policy
- Configure custom locations and resolve conflicts with helpful in-product prompts
- Set due-by durations for each policy
- Activate or deactivate policies
- Automatically stay up-to-date as DataGrail pushes new regulatory changes
Why it matters:
This transforms consent governance from a static setup into an adaptable, proactive privacy layer that helps you control and manage your program without depending on engineers or manual updates.

Product Improvements and Enhancements
Search Filtering for Opt-Out and DSR Requests
We added new search capabilities and filter options to the Opt-Out Requests table in Request Manager so you can instantly find requests by email, first name, last name and filter by Due Date and Date Added.
For teams handling high volumes of requests, this speeds up daily operations and reduces friction across your privacy response workflow.
Clearer Verification Rejection Emails
Verification failures typically happen for two reasons: 1) the user didn’t verify in time, or 2) the information didn’t match your records
We’ve improved the email verification template so, now, your verification rejection emails automatically explain why a request was rejected in clean, accurate, and consistent wording across all 17 supported languages.
This drives faster resolution and higher trust with your customers.
Dashboard Analytics: More Filters, New Charts, Better Insights
Analytics in DataGrail just got a serious upgrade. We expanded the dashboard to give you deeper visibility, more granularity, and faster insights.
Highlights:
- 9 new time filters
- New charts for requests by type, source, status, and Language
- New filters for status, type, and language
- Improved chart order surface the most actionable insights at the top
It’s now even easier for high-volume teams to spot trends, bottlenecks, and workload shifts instantly without digging or exporting data.
