June 2025 brought new US Privacy Strings, Enhanced Consent Governance, Personalized Intake Forms, and more.
Welcome to DataGrail’s monthly release notes.
June brought a range of new enhancements to help customers simplify compliance, improve consent governance, and streamline privacy operations. We introduced US Privacy Strings to help align ad delivery with consent preferences. We also rolled out major enhancements to our Consent platform, making it easier to manage compliance across subdomains.
Let’s get into it.
New to the DataGrail Privacy Platform in June
DataGrail Consent Improvements
Managing consent across complex digital environments shouldn’t be a trade-off. Our latest updates to DataGrail Consent empower privacy teams by providing the flexibility, visibility, and control they need, while delivering a smoother, more seamless experience for users.
Take control of your Consent experience with:
-
- Sub-domain sharing [docs]: Honor a data subject’s consent choice across subdomains (e.g. shop.website.com and website.com will share the same consent preference) with a single setting in your DataGrail Consent environment.
- US Privacy String Support (beta) [docs]: DataGrail Consent now supports the MSPA GPP string and US Privacy String (v1). Enable these within a Consent policy to inform advertisers of a data subject’s consent choices so they can remove any personalized tracking features.
- Audit Log API [docs]: Customers can now choose to download audit logs programmatically via API for greater flexibility, date filtering, and more
- Uncategorized Tracker Alerts: Subscribe to daily reports on trackers that may need your attention, including newly discovered cookies on your websites.
- Multiple layer buttons in a banner layout [docs]: Progressively disclose important compliance information to data subjects in deeper layers, using multiple buttons to reveal information to provide better context to data subjects exercising their privacy choices via your consent banner.
- Relative link support: Link to the relative policy pages from a banner layout that may be shared across multiple websites.
Dropdown Response Questions in Privacy Request Center
With the latest Privacy Request Center updates, teams can now capture structured information upfront, streamlining intake and accelerating DSR fulfillment with more control and efficiency.
- Add single-select and multi-select dropdown options to Privacy Request Center
- Customize dropdowns by policy to tailor intake forms for specific DSR workflows
- Enable or disable localization for dropdown values, preserving proper nouns, brand names etc..
Soon – support for dropdowns as conditions within a workflow automation.

Risk Assessment PDF Export Update
The new Risk Assessment PDF Export now has a more polished look and feel with our updated PDF format. The refreshed design brings your exports in line with the expectations of internal stakeholders and external auditors, making them easier to share, review, and act on.

The new PDF export includes:
- A title page with your company logo and key details like status, due date, contributors, approver, template used, systems, and processing activities
- Improved spacing, section breaks, and formatting for easier reading
- A more polished layout that aligns with compliance documentation standards
