This week’s spotlight features Shawn Amburg. Shawn is an experienced account executive in the San Francisco Bay Area having grown many software and security solution companies. He previously worked in sales at InvisionApp.
What excites you about joining the DataGrail team?
DataGrail is solving an important challenge for businesses and their customers around data privacy. The need for privacy over our data remains in the spotlight, and the world is taking action with new legislation and requirements for protecting users data. I’m excited to be joining a team that is passionate about solving this challenge and helping organizations protect their users’ data.
What’s your role at DataGrail, and how do you see yourself growing over the next 2 years?
I’m an Account Executive for DataGrail and I’m here to help the team bring DataGrail to market. An important part of my role is helping organizations build their privacy programs and ensure that they have a solution that allows them to achieve continuous compliance, especially as we start to think about some of the regulations that are coming up. I will also be focused on helping us shape our customer facing efforts to best support our industry.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I’d love to build a home studio and learn how to play both the drums and the piano. I played the guitar growing up and have recently picked it up again. One of my goals is to have a studio that allows me to be creative and start making my own music.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love doing anything that gets me outdoors. Growing up in New Hampshire I spent my summers on Golden Pond and spent my winters snowboarding at Loon Mountain. Now you can find me hiking around the Bay Area, and finding any excuse to adventure out to Yosemite or Lake Tahoe.
