Employee Spotlight: Meet Jordan Tucker, Director of Sales

Welcome to our employee spotlight series, where we introduce you to all of the people that make DataGrail such a great place to work.

Today we’re introducing you to Jordan Tucker. Jordan joined us in 2023 and currently leads our mid-market sales team. When Jordan’s not spending time with her team or talking to privacy and security leaders, you can find her traveling with her friends or spending time with her dog and husband in Chicago.

What has your experience been as a female sales leader?

My experience as a female leader in SaaS sales has been great. It has become a lot more common but we are still the minority. My favorite part is when I get to talk to other women who are considering a career in sales. My experience has been amazing but I think it helps for them to see that it is okay to make the leap. I have had an incredibly rewarding career so far and I hope I have inspired others to take a similar path.

What is your team like?

I would describe my team as hungry, smart and fun! The team works incredibly hard and is very committed to being successful. They are constantly looking for new ways to win. They also don’t take themselves too seriously and they are always making me laugh.

What is the day-to-day of your role like?

My day is typically filled with a combination of internal and external meetings centered around helping build processes and solve problems to make my team and our current and future customers more successful. We work in a very fast paced environment so things are constantly changing which keeps me on my toes. I try to join at least 1 customer or prospect call per day to stay on top of what is going on in our industry and help coach my team.

What parts of the DataGrail mission do you connect with?

We help companies build trust through providing transparency to their customers. I relate a lot to this mission because at the core of every strong business is its customers. If you lose the trust of your customers, it is very hard to be successful. By empowering businesses to be good stewards of their customers’ data, we are helping them to build better businesses.

What have been your biggest accomplishments on our team?

My biggest accomplishments have come from helping my team find success. This includes bringing on some of our largest Mid Market customers in company history and helping my team advance in their career.

Who is your biggest inspiration?

My grandpa was one of the greatest sales people and entrepreneurs I had the privilege of knowing. He built an incredible career from nothing and had an insane work ethic.

What is the most unique part about working here?

The people and relationships I have built while working remotely. When I joined the organization, I was worried about being a remote employee. That worry was quickly dissipated. DataGrail has some of the smartest people I have ever worked with and I am fortunate to have great partners across the business.

How have you grown professionally while working at DataGrail?

I enjoy working at companies of this size because of how cross functionally I get to work. I am learning and growing daily by being able to work on projects across the business and with our leadership team. Whether it is collaborating with the marketing team on a new campaign or working through a customer request with our product team, I am able to get a view of the business as a whole and how we can grow together.
